A typical Sunday service at Calvary Chapel of Montclair lasts between 1 1/2 – 2 hours. What you’ll experience is a time of spiritual – yet contemporary praise and worship music followed by an easy to follow verse-by-verse expository teaching of God’s Word. Afterwards we adjourn to the fellowship room for conversation, coffee, tea, bagels and other surprises. Pastor George and staff are present and approachable for prayer and brief one-on-one biblical instruction.

The church building itself is charming and has strong historic ties to Montclair’s past. The air-conditioned interior is intimate and comfortable, the congregation is warm, loving and laid back. Dress is casual, the “vibe” is relaxed – but the purpose is clearly to teach and exhort Christians from the scriptures to live a mature, biblical lifestyle that is pleasing to God.
