Calvary Chapel has in fact withdrawn its plans to occupy space in Stephen Plofker's building on Lackawanna Plaza (the rear of 7 North Willow)
Recently the Montclair Times published an article on the subject which was "mostly factual". The article can be read here. The original article is here
A law suit was launched by a certain developer, competitor to Steven Plofker (at least at Lackawanna Plaza) against Calvary Chapel and the town of Montclair. The appeal is to reverse the town's unanimously decided approval of a variance that allows us to occupy our space.
We confidently and clearly demonstrated before the town the inherent benefits of our church being in the neighborhood, and are just as confident that we would win this appeal again on the merits, however we are not looking to prove points, nor do we have the funds and time to devote to such a length process - our mission is to find a permanent home for our church after 12 years of serving in this community without one.
Please keep us in prayer as we continue our quest, any leads or insights would be much appreciated!
